Reading the Card Faces

Each card scan shows two printed faces. The upright half is one face, and the half printed upside down is the card's other face, read from the opposite side of the table. Both are transcribed under the card number. Icons are written as words in square brackets.

Welcome Sheet (Card 00)

Card 00a

WELCOME to Kingdom Legacy: Exploration.

This expansion may be played by 2 different kingdoms, either one after the other, or simultaneously (write their names on the side of the box). Cards should not be removed from this box until instructed.

Scan the QR code for a card appendix, FAQ, and an overview chart of discoverable cards.

Right side of the sheet:

Perform a purge 7, focus on 3 persons (you must select persons, if possible, until you have selected 3 persons for the purge) and purge 1 permanent card. After the selection, you may save 1 card and return it to your deck.

Play 4 rounds, each round discovering 2 cards from this deck (cards 01-08). (The second kingdom using this expansion box instead uses cards 151-158.)

When you are done, calculate your new score and add sticker 13q to your score track.

Cards 10-26 are Unexplored Lands. The first time you play this expansion, shuffle them into a separate pile with card 09 on top as a cover. Store this pile in this box when not playing. These cards are mainly discovered through the card Exploration (01 / 151).

More rules on card 00b.

Card 00b

Upright side of the sheet:

Exploration introduces a yellow upgrade box:

(Example yellow box: "Agriculture (26)", with a checkbox, two [Coin] icons and two [Wood] icons.)

This is a normal upgrade, except that instead of rotating the card to a new stage, you discover a new card:

  1. Pay the upgrade cost.
  2. Mark the checkbox.
  3. Discover the indicated card.
  4. Then RESET the card with the yellow upgrade and RETURN it to the bottom of the Unexplored Lands pile.

NOTE: The name in the yellow box is a thematic hint at what you're developing; the name doesn't necessarily exactly match the first stage of the card you are discovering.

Right side of the sheet:

Stickers: Each kingdom playing Exploration gains 1 "Basic" Sticker Sheet each. To use the additional stickers in this expansion, you need to discover the corresponding card that instructs you to gain them (Academy, Apothecary, Artistry, Herbs, Mason, Tournament, Weeds).

Keep the Undiscovered Lands and all the discoverable cards in the Exploration box. When a second kingdom plays the same expansion (later or at the same time), it will discover the second set of cards (151-158), and use the same pile of Undiscovered Lands. The checkboxes in the yellow upgrades help both players keep track of which cards are still available.

Write the name of the kingdoms sharing this expansion on the side of the Exploration box.
