Goal of the Game
Be the first player to get rid of all of your cards.
Setup
- The youngest player starts.
- Play proceeds clockwise.
- Deal 8 "animal" cards to each player.
- Place the remaining "animal" cards in a face-down stack.
- Place the "confusion" cards in a face-down pile in the centre of the table.
How to Play
- The first player turns over the top "confusion" card and places it face up in the centre of the table.
- Each player looks carefully at their own cards and at the "confusion" card.
- The fastest player wins the round if one of their cards shows the same animal as the "confusion" card. That player discards that card.
- If a player reacts incorrectly (their card does not show the same animal), they take their card back and must draw 2 more cards from the stack as a penalty.
- The other players take back their cards.
- Players then turn over the next "confusion" card in turn, and the game continues in this way.
- When the "confusion" pile runs out, turn it over and resume play.
Variant for the More Reserved Players
- The player turns over the top "confusion" card and places it in the centre of the table.
- That player counts aloud to five.
- During this time, all players must study the picture and the details that make it up.
- The "confusion" card is then turned face down. Each player must place in front of themselves all the cards that show animals they saw on the "confusion" card.
- The "confusion" card is turned face up again to check.
- Players who laid out incorrect cards take those cards back and each draws one card from the stack. Correct cards are not used for the rest of the game and are set aside.
- The winner is the player with fewer cards when all the "confusion" cards have been played.
