Rules
The printed two-page sheet has no section headings for the steps below; "Rules" is added by the transcriber. The step numbers are as printed. The sheet also prints no components list or player-count note.
-
Divide players into two groups: the Yeti, and the Search Squad.
-
The Search Squad locates the mountain token at an arbitrary point anywhere inside the room (this is called the "searching point"). Then the Search Squad leaves the room until called back into the room by Yeti.
-
The Yeti team hides the Yeti meeple somewhere in the room within an area visible from the searching point and takes a "picture of evidence" with a smartphone. Yeti team may process the picture (e.g., by making it black-and-white, blurred) to make it harder for the Search Squad to find the hiding place. Yeti team then hides the two footprint tokens in places distant from the Yeti meeple (no photos needed for the footprints).
-
Once ready, call the Search Squad back into the room and show them the picture of evidence at the searching point.
A. Guess the Location
The Search Squad must guess the location based on the picture of evidence (location must be clear and detailed).
For example, "Behind the blue mug on the counter."
B. Checking the Answer
Check the location said out loud by Search Squad. If the Yeti meeple is discovered, then the Search Squad wins. If the footprint token is found, the Yeti team wins the game.
Continue A and B until either the Yeti or the footprint token is found.
