Objective

Find hidden words among the letter tiles and highlight them using your wordspot tokens. The first player to use all his or her tokens is the winner.

Set Up

Mix the letter tiles face down and pick 16 of them at random. Quickly arrange them face up in a 4x4 square grid. Align the letter tiles in the same direction.

Place the remaining tiles face down in a stack beside the grid.

One player starts with 26 wordspot tokens, the other player with 25 tokens.

Set aside the remaining tokens, placing them back into the game box.

The player with 26 wordspot tokens goes first.

How To Play

On your turn, find a word hidden among the tiles and highlight each letter by covering it with one of your wordspot tokens.

  • Words must be at least 3 letters long.
  • Words must be in a straight line.
  • Words may go up, down, across, backwards or diagonally.
  • New words may intersect with previously covered letters, but only the uncovered letters can be highlighted.

Once you've highlighted a single word, it's the other player's turn.

Getting New Tiles

If a word runs across 3 or more tiles, the player is allowed to draw one new tile from the stack. You are not required to show your opponent the tile until it is placed onto the grid.

Placing New Tiles

At the start of your turn, if you own any new tiles, you may add one to the table. Place it down adjacent to any tile on the board. It must line up along the existing grid. Then, take your normal turn.

If a player is unable to highlight a word and complete his or her turn, the player must draw one new tile from the stack and also two new wordspot tokens. Once the player completes this action, his or her turn is over.

Winning the Game

The first player to place all of his or her wordspot tokens onto the grid is the winner.
