1. Components
To play, you will simply need the Base Game and the 6 Space Base boards.
2. Setup
After setting up the game as usual, each player randomly takes one Space Base board and places it in front of them. Players then place their 5 Spaceships on their Space Base board, on the dedicated spots.
The game is ready to start!
3. Game Turn
A game turn follows the usual rules. Except for an additional intermediary step that occurs when a player decides to land a new Spaceship on a Planet.
The player selects one of the Spaceships available on their Space Base. Prior to placing it on a Planet, they put it on the Launching area.

The player now has the opportunity to immediately fulfill the Condition stated under the spot that they just freed, in order to trigger the corresponding Ability circle. This Ability can only be triggered when the Spaceship is taking flight from the Space Base, but triggering it is never mandatory. If you can not or do not want to fulfill the Condition, your Spaceship can still take off, but the corresponding Ability does not get resolved.
4. Conditions and Abilities
Most icons used in this expansion are already detailed in the base game rules, except for the 3 following ones.
- Discard from your hand a card that features the corresponding Animal. (Icon: an Animal with a red X.)
- Immediately move your Veteran token one space up on the Veteran track of your Captain card. Then trigger the ability indicated on the spot that you just reached. (Icon: a Veteran token with a plus sign.)
- Add 3 facedown cards from the draw pile to your hand, then discard 2 cards from your hand. You can choose whichever cards to be discarded this way, even the ones that you just drew. (Icon: a "3" card stack with a red X on a "2" card stack.)
Once the Ability triggered (or ignored), the player goes on with their turn as normal: they land their Spaceship on a planet, following the regular rules, and perform the corresponding action.
5. Solo Mode
In the Solo mode, the smuggler takes profit from any opportunity inside your Space Base, as soon as you are not able to seize it yourself.
Setup
To play this mode, assign 5 additional spaceships to the Smuggler. The Smuggler will use them whenever they will profit from your Space Base.
Gameflow
Each time that you have one of your own Spaceships taking off, without fulfilling the corresponding Condition, you then have to place one of the Smuggler's extra Spaceships in your Launching area. To avoid it, you can always choose to fulfill the indicated condition, even if you do not actually trigger the corresponding Ability circle.
Credit count
At the end of the game, the Smuggler is awarded 5 extra credits for each of their Spaceships placed on your Space Base, in your Launching area.
