Wicket The Ewok
Wicket The Ewok Rulebook
Table of Contents
Equipment
Game board, 4 Ewok movers (Wicket, Kneesaa, Paploo, and Latara), 4 mover stands, 5 transportation cards, and 25 food chips: 5 each of berries, nuts, pears, mushrooms, and wild honey.
Set Up
- Carefully remove the food chips, Ewok movers, and transportation cards from the perforated sheet.
- Place four of each food type onto its matching green board space. (In the case of the honey pots, place them on the platform above the red door hut.) There will be one of each food type left over in case you should lose one, so place these aside. If fewer than four are playing, just place that number of each food type onto its matching space.
- Place each transportation card onto the middle space of its color-matched outline.
- Each player chooses an Ewok mover.
- Place your Ewok mover, feet first, into a mover stand. Then place your standing Ewok onto the matching colored door that marks its home.
- The youngest player goes first. Play proceeds, in turn, to that player's left.
Object
Be the first Ewok to collect five different food chips and take them to your home.
Playing
- Whenever it's your turn, do your best to pick up a type of food chip you don't already have. To do this, you must either pass or land on a golden corner rock with the food's symbol etched in it or, in the case of the wild honey, the sky's center spot. As soon as you do, take the food chip you're after.
- On your turn you must move a total of three spaces. The three spaces may be made up of any of the following combinations:
- a) Move your Ewok 1 to 3 spaces in either direction along the rock path.
- b) Move a transportation card, with or without an Ewok on it, 1 to 3 spaces. Move it either forward or backward, but only within its own color-matched outlines.
- c) Move your Ewok from a rock to a transportation card or from a transportation card to a rock.
Remember
- Two or more Ewoks can fit onto a rock at once.
- A transportation card can carry two or more Ewoks at once. And any player may move this card on his or her turn.
- On a hang glider, you must travel through the sky's middle spot in order to go from one corner to another.
- In a transportation area, an Ewok can travel only on a transportation card, never on his own two feet.
- Continue collecting food chips until you have one of each type, for a total of five. When this happens, try to move your Ewok back to its home.
Winning
You'll win this game if your Ewok is the first to carry five food chips back home.
Strategy Hints
- Try to get a free ride across a wooden bridge or the swinging vines. Move onto a transportation card and let someone else move you across.
- While someone else is on it, try to move a transportation card back to an area where he or she has already picked up a food chip.
