- 6 12-Sided Dice
- 16 What the Cup!? Cards
- 1 HIGH/LOW Token
- 60 Chips
Set up
- Distribute an equal number of Chips to each player. In a 6-person game each player gets 10 Chips.
- Remove the GAME OVER card from the deck of What the Cup!? cards and shuffle the cards. Take 4 cards from the deck and shuffle the GAME OVER card in with them. Place those 5 cards on the table and stack the rest of the deck on top.
- Set the HIGH/LOW token to HIGH.
- Each player needs a Cup (base & lid) and a 12-sided die.
Objective
The HIGH/LOW token will be continually flipped throughout the game. Have either the highest or lowest die when the GAME OVER card is revealed to win the Chips in the center of the table.
How to Play
What the… Ante!?
Everyone puts one Chip in the center to start the game.
What the… Shake!?
Place your die into the Cup base, cover the base with the Cup lid and shake. Peek at your die, but do not let any other players see what you rolled.
Important! You may freely peek at your die at any time. However, to keep other players from seeing what you have in your Cup, try to remember what you rolled.
You are ready to play. The player that shuffled the cards goes first. After the first round, the winner goes first.
What the… Flip!?
On your turn, flip over the top card of the deck. Choose whether to:
-
Follow the direction on the card, then discard it, and end your turn;
OR
-
Flip over the HIGH/LOW token, discarding the unplayed card, and end your turn.
Continuing clockwise, the next player will flip a card and make the same choice.
What the… Reveal!?
When the GAME OVER card is flipped the round ends immediately and players take off the lid of their Cup to reveal the dice values.
The dice values are compared to the HIGH/LOW token. If the token is HIGH, the player with the highest value die wins the pot. If the token is LOW, the player with the lowest value die wins the pot. In the case of a tie, the tied players split the Chips in the pot as evenly as possible, leaving any extra Chips to carry over for the next round.
What the… Win!?
The game ends when one player is out of Chips. All players count their Chips and the player with the most Chips wins!
