Components

  • 3 character cards
  • 12 goal cards (4 for each character)
  • 16 story cards
  • 12 legendary items

Setup

When playing with this expansion, set up rules are the same with the following exceptions:

  • Shuffle the new character in with the others, and deal two to each player.
  • Shuffle the new story cards in with the others.
  • Place the legendary items with the card backs facing the players in the General Store stand.

New Story Cards

This expansion features new story cards with a new condition: Initiate a Fight With Another Player. It is important to note, to contribute to these new story cards players do not have to win a fight against another player.

Some of the new story cards provide legendary items as a reward. When a player gains a legendary item they draw one facedown from the General Store stand. If a player contributes more than 1 disc to a story card that rewards a legendary item, they still only gain 1 legendary item.

Legendary Items

Legendary items will be mounts, weapons, or miscellaneous, abiding by the same rules as all other items with the exception that mounts and weapons may not be upgraded. However, some legendary items provide LP at the end of the game similar to upgraded mounts and weapons.

If a player gains a legendary item and they already have three miscellaneous items, they may choose to discard another miscellaneous item to make room on their player mat. Discarded legendary items are returned to the General Store stand, shuffled, and placed with the card backs facing the players in the General Store stand.

Legendary Item Cards

The sheet shows the twelve legendary items as card images, listed here by name with the text printed on each card. Cards marked with a coin reading "1LP" carry that LP value as printed on the card.

Mounts

  • Lightning (Mount) — 1LP coin printed on the card. Action: Move to a bandit hideout. (A circled "3" is also printed at the top right of the card; the sheet does not explain it.)

Weapons

  • Thunder (Weapon) — After you win a fight against a bandit, guard, or the Sheriff, gain 1LP.

Miscellaneous

  • Bowie Knife — After cards are revealed in a fight against another player, discard this to decrease the value of a card played against you by 1. Give that player 1 wound and gain 1LP.
  • Black Coat — After you gain this, gain 2 Marshal points or 2 Wanted points. A Wanted player that gains this may choose to gain Marshal points in this way.
  • Lasso (1LP coin) — After you end a move action in a Ranch space, gain 1 cattle token.
  • Dynamite — Action: Discard this to give each other player within 1 space 1 wound. Those players must also discard 1 random poker card. Gain 1LP.
  • Companion — If you start your turn outside of a town, gain 1 additional action.
  • Mesa Deed — Action: Discard this and choose three: gain $50, 1 cattle token, 1 gold nugget, 1LP, or move to any space outside of a town.
  • Silver Flask — Action: Discard this to lose all wounds, draw to your maximum hand size, and gain 1LP.
  • Tomahawk (1LP coin) — At the start of a fight, you may discard 1 poker card to draw 1 poker card.
  • Outlaw's Mask — After cards are revealed in a fight against a bandit, guard, or The Sheriff, you may discard this to win that fight instead. If you do, draw 1 poker card and gain 1LP.
  • Marshal's Badge (1LP coin) — After cards are revealed in an Arrest, you may discard this to cancel that Arrest and initiate another Arrest. If you do, draw 1 poker card and gain 1LP.
