Setup
During game setup, place 2 gold nuggets at each of the 3 mining locations. This represents gold available to be mined at the start of the game. As cards are revealed, more gold will become available. Gold nuggets are acquired by taking the Prospecting for Gold action.
Choose 2 random events. Shuffle the Prospecting Deck and place it next to the game board. You may choose to play without events.
Based on player count and game length, place one gold nugget on the corresponding Legendary Track numbers. See chart on pages 2-3.
Note: the chart on pages 2-3 is not included in the source photograph. The player count and game length values for Legendary Track placement cannot be transcribed from it.
