Components
- 101 cards: 96 historical event cards and 5 anonymous cards.
Objective
- The goal of the game is to place 7 cards in the correct chronological order.
How to Play
- Place the deck in the middle of the play area with the year of the events face down.
- To start, read the first event aloud. Everyone at the table may try to guess when the event happened. Whoever gets closest to the correct year wins the card and places it in front of them with the year face up.
- Then the other players also take their first cards from the top of the deck and place them in front of them with the year face up.
- Now, whoever won the first card continues by reading the top card of the deck and deciding whether to place it before or after the first card (the reference card). Turn the card over once you have decided and check whether it is in the correct chronological order.
- If the card is incorrect, it is discarded and the next player takes their turn. If it is correct, it stays in place and you have two options: pass your turn, or try to place one more card, at the risk of losing the cards already placed.
- If the second card (the risk card) is incorrect, you lose all the cards that are in front of you and the risk card becomes the new reference. You may only make a risk play once per turn.
- Whenever someone is about to place the last card of their timeline, the other players may choose, from the top three cards of the deck, which one must be placed.
Anonymous Cards
The game also contains anonymous cards. You may take an anonymous card for yourself, passing your turn, or pass the card to another player and play your turn normally. If an anonymous card is kept, it may be used in the same turn or in a future turn.
- You may use an anonymous card to reduce the chance of losing cards when you play a risk card. If the risk card is wrong, you will only lose that card instead of losing all of them.
- If an anonymous card appears when you want to play a second card (the risk card), you automatically pass your turn.
- Each anonymous card may only be used once. Discard it together with the wrong risk card.
Solo/Cooperative Mode
- The goal of the game is to place 7 cards in the correct chronological order.
- Place the deck in the middle of the play area with the year of the events face down.
- Take a first card, turn it over, and place it in front of you.
- Using the first card as a reference, try to place the following cards in the correct chronological order.
- If a placed card is incorrect, you lose all the cards already placed and that card becomes the new reference.
- The game also contains anonymous cards. You may keep an anonymous card or use it immediately. It serves to avoid losing all the cards already placed when you make a mistake. If a placed card is incorrect and you are using an anonymous card, only the incorrect card is discarded.
- Each anonymous card may only be used once. Discard it together with the wrong risk card.
- You lose the game if you lose everything three times.
