Every disk and card in this expansion is marked with the following symbol: a black crescent.
Ready Armies
Players may build 1 regiment from the disks and command cards of the Dark Elves and Skaven included in this expansion. The new Chaos and Orc disks serve as support for these races.
If a player does not want to build his own Vampire army, he may use a ready-made army instead, choosing the specified number of regiments described below using the format: Hero: Units; Command cards.
- Mannfred von Carstein: 1 Reanimated Dragon, 1 Tomb Banshee, 1 Ominous Wolves, 1 Skeleton Warriors; Invocation, Neheka, Dark Majesty.
- Isabella von Carstein: 1 Black Knights, 1 Vargheists, 1 Ominous Wolves, 1 Novice Necromancer; Resurrection, Seduction.
- Heinrich Kemmler: 1 Black Coach, 1 Tomb Guard, 2 Skeleton Warriors, 1 Ominous Wolves; Glimpse of Nagash, Bait.
Disk Keywords
The following describes the rules that apply when playing with the components of this expansion.
Keywords are special abilities printed on a disk.
Fear (Straszny). When a disk with the Fear keyword pins an enemy disk, the base counter strength of that disk is treated as 1. The base counter strength is the value printed on the disk. It may be increased by abilities of disks, cards and empowerment tokens while the disk is under the effect of Fear.
Poison (Trucizna). When a disk with the Poison keyword deals damage in melee or with its ranged attack, place a poison token on the disk that received the damage. When damage tokens are to be removed from a disk with a poison token, remove 1 poison token instead. If a disk receives a wound, remove both its damage tokens and its poison tokens.
Reanimate X (Ożywienie X). A player may activate a disk with the Reanimate keyword to choose an ally with the Undead trait from the victory pile (stos zwycięstwa) and place it on the battlefield within close range. This is a focus ability.
- Reanimate 1 allows reanimating small disks.
- Reanimate 2 allows reanimating small and medium disks.
- Reanimate 3 allows reanimating small, medium and large disks.
A reanimated disk does not receive an activation token. Mark it with a reanimate token (znacznik ożywieńca). When tokens are to be removed from a disk with a reanimate token during the end phase, return that disk to its owner's casualty pile instead.
Translation note: the Polish printing says the reanimated disk is chosen from the "victory pile" (stos zwycięstwa), while the end-phase sentence in the same insert returns the disk to the casualty pile (stos ofiar). The printing is reproduced as it reads.
Stalwart (Mężny). A disk with the Stalwart keyword may be activated while it is pinned, in order to use a focus ability or make a ranged attack. A player does not need to activate a pinned disk with Stalwart when resolving a command card.
Stealthy (Skryty). A disk with the Stealthy keyword always treats itself as if it is overlapping terrain with the Cover keyword (Zasłona).
Terrain
Terrain card. The terrain card lists two terrain pieces, each with a keyword and an effect on disks overlapping it. The two-sided terrain token shows the two pieces on its faces. The text layer of the insert does not state which bullet belongs to which face; the pairing below follows the layout of the card.
- Morr's Garden (Ogród Morra): Rough (Trudny). Vampire disks with the Enchanter trait (Zaklinacz) overlapping this terrain receive Reanimate 1.
- Farmhouse (Folwark): Cover (Zasłona). Disks overlapping this terrain receive Stalwart (Mężny).

Deployment Card
All Together (Wszyscy razem). Disks cannot be reinforced in this zone.
Scenario Cards
Fearless (Nieustraszeni), scenario card. Each hero gains Immune (Fear) (Niewrażliwość (Straszny)).
Objective (Cel): You receive 1 victory point for each enemy casualty.
Stratagems (Fortele), special scenario card. Each army receives 1 additional command card.
During the step where command cards are resolved, a player may use one activation from his card to remove an activation token from an ally with the Cavalry, Infantry or Missile trait within medium range of one of his heroes. Using this ability does not activate that hero.
Normal victory conditions apply.
Command Cards
The insert prints the text of one command card, Glimpse of Nagash, which is shown with its strategy and ability below. The other command cards are named in the Ready Armies section but their text is not printed in this insert.
Glimpse of Nagash (Wejrzenie Nagasha). Strategy: bold (Śmiała).
Enchanter (Vampire icon): Deal 1 damage, of the type shown by the icon on the card, to a chosen non-hero disk within medium range. If that disk was not activated, place an activation token on it.
Card note: the insert shows the damage type as a symbol that the text layer cannot reproduce. The type is not guessed here.
Sample Disks
The insert shows the following sample disks. Attack and counter values are printed as icons that the text layer does not reproduce, so only the traits, keywords and abilities are listed here. One further sample disk is not legible enough in the insert to transcribe reliably and is omitted.
Corsairs of the Black Ark (Korsarze z Czarnych Arek), small disk. Traits: Infantry (Piechota), Missile (Pocisk). Keywords: Mobile, Stealthy.
Doomdiver Catapult (Katapulta Zguboskoczków), medium disk. Trait: War Machine (Machina wojenna). Focus ability (focus icon): Reinforce 1 Doomdiver Goblin (Goblin Zguboskoczek) within medium range as support.
Reanimated Dragon (Ożywiony smok), large disk. Traits: Monster (Potwór), Undead (Nieumarły). Keywords: Fear, Flying, Mobile. Focus ability (focus icon): Deal k6-2 damage (a six-sided die roll minus 2) to a chosen disk within medium range, and place a poison token on it.
