Can I put a barrel back on a multiplier tile after an expert removed it?
Two experienced players agree; the rulebook does not say directly.

Generally no. Nothing lets you place a barrel back on a Magnate tile, so the tile stays empty unless you spend another barrel; a multiplier tile with no barrel scores nothing.
