Gameplay

Visiting the Maelstrom
When you visit the Maelstrom region, you choose to study it. Take one of the understanding tokens and place it on your Maelstrom card (limit: one at a time). Then, flip the top card from the Maelstrom book—turning a page in its ever-shifting narrative.
Attunement with the Maelstrom
Each time you activate your character (not a companion), you may place one of your influence on your Maelstrom card. This represents deepening attunement with the Maelstrom.
Using Maelstrom Abilities
Once per turn, as a bonus action, you may unleash an ability from the Maelstrom—an aberration.
Maelstrom Study
Card title as printed on each card in the stack. Card text as printed on the top card of the stack.
Maelstrom Study
When you activate yourself, you may add 1 influence here. When you visit the Maelstrom, gain 1 understanding token.
