Description of Cards
- Character name
- Character faction: Blue: Villager. Red: Werewolf.
- Abilities
- Look symbol: The player may look at a face-down card in another player's tableau.
- Hide symbol: At the end of the turn, turn the card face-down and may switch its position with that of any other face-down card/s in your tableau.
- Tombstone symbol: Used during Scoring. It represents 2 tombstones.
- Indicates the card is used in games of this player count (3+/4+/5+/S).
Game Layout
- Player character tableau: Character cards played by a player are sequentially placed in front of him from left to right.
- Graveyard: A central region on the table; cards moved to the graveyard must be turned face-down, and placed sequentially.
Setup
- Select the cards to be used according to the player number, and discarding the rest. [For example, if the game is played with four players, the remove all cards labeled 5+ at the bottom right.] "S" represents special characters. Please refer to the explanation on special characters on page 6.
- Deal 5 cards to each player; in a two-player game, deal 6 cards to each player.
- Each player secretly passes one card to the player on his/her left, and another card to the player on his/her right. Do not look at the cards passed to you, until you have finished passing cards to the players on your left and right.
- The player with the "Village Chief" in his/her hand is the start player. Play proceeds clockwise.
Flow of Play
Each round consists of 3 phases: NIGHT, DAY, and SCORING. The game last several rounds, until a player reaches 7 victory points, at which point the game ends.
Night
The start player (Village Chief) must play a card face-down into the graveyard. The player on the left of the Village Chief then takes his/her turn.
On his/her turn, a player (must) do one of the following:
- Play a card face-down in his/her tableau. The card's ability is not triggered, and other players do not know which card is played.
- Play a card face-up in his/her tableau, and execute the ability on the card.
- Play one card face-up and one to four cards face-down in his/her tableau, and execute the ability on the face-up card 2 to 5 times (number of face-down card/s plus one). [For example, Adam plays a Werewolf face-up and two other cards face-down, so he can execute the ability of the Werewolf three times.]
If a player has no cards left in his/her hand, he/she passes, until all players have played all cards from their hands. When all players have passed, the night ends.
Day
Village Mob: Starting from the start player, if a player can show exactly two Villager/Village Chief cards, the player can move one face-down card in another player's tableau to the graveyard, without looking at the card.
- When showing the two Villager/Village Chief cards, face-down Villager/Village Chief may be turned face-up.
- If a player does not want to use the ability of a Village Mob, the player can choose to not turn Villager/Village Chief cards face-up.
- If a player has enough Villager/Village Chief Cards, he/she can execute Village Mob more than one time.
- After all players are done executing the Village Mob action, proceed to the Scoring phase.
Scoring
Turn the card/s in the graveyard face-up, and count the number of tombstone symbol/s on cards belonging to the Werewolf faction and the Villager faction, respectively. The faction having fewer combined tombstone symbols on their cards is the winning faction. If said two factions have the same number of tombstones in the graveyard, the Neutral faction is the winning faction.
- If the winning faction is the Villager Faction, each player belonging to the Villager Faction gains 1 victory point.
- If the winning faction is the Werewolf Faction, each player belonging to the Werewolf Faction gains 2 victory points.
- If the winning faction is the Villager Faction, and only one player belongs to the Villager Faction, said player gains 3 victory points.
- If the winning faction is the Neutral Faction, each player belonging to the Neutral faction gains 4 victory points.
- If a player has no card in his/her tableau, he/she does not score for the round.
After scoring, if any player reaches 7 victory points, the game ends. Otherwise, proceed to the next round.
Factions
- When playing cards, cards must be placed from left to right in a player's tableau. The left-most card represents the player's current faction. [For example, Adam has two cards, from left to right being a card belonging to the Werewolf Faction and a card belonging to the Villager Faction. Adam is currently in the Werewolf Faction, but if said left-most card is removed or switched, the Villager Faction card becomes the leftmost card in Adam's tableau, and Adam switches to the Villager Faction.]
- If a player plays one card face-up and at least one card face-down on his/her turn, the player can choose the order of placement of those cards at the end of his/her turn. [For example, Adam plays a Werewolf face-up and two other cards face-down. After executing the Werewolf's ability three times, Adam can choose to place these cards in any order, e.g. face-down card, Werewolf, face-down card; Werewolf, face-down card, face-down card; or face-down card, face-down card, Werewolf.]
Victory Condition
The player with the most victory points wins. In case of a tie, the player with the fewest character/s in his/her tableau in the final round wins. In case of a further tie, the players share the victory.
Special Characters
- When using a special character, replace a Villager or a Cultist according to the faction of said special character. If the special character belongs to the Neutral Faction, replace any Neutral Faction character.
- It is recommended that no more than three special characters are used per game.
Two Player Rules
Drafting variant may be used: each player drafts one card from a starting hand of six cards, and passes the hand to the opponent, and repeat until all cards have been drafted. The game then begins.

[For example, a player has a face-down card 1, a Villager, and a face-down card 2 in his/her tableau. After playing the Alpha Wolf and turning it face-down, the positions of the three face-down cards may be switched to get Alpha Wolf (face-down), Villager, face-down card 2, face-down card 1.] (Hide, Tombstone: 3)
