Rules
Shuffle the game cards and deal to each player as follows:
| 2-3 players | 4 players | 5 players | 6 players |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 10 | 8 | 6 |
Shuffle the bonus cards and place on the table, face-up, as many cards as the number of players plus 1.
The player who attended the most editions of Vilar de Mouros Festival goes first (in the case of a tie, the oldest begins). Play then proceeds clockwise around the table.
On his/her turn, a player must perform 1 (and only 1) of these actions:
- Draw 2 game cards from the deck and/or the center of the table (if there are no cards in the center, draw 2 from the deck, and vice versa), and, of all the cards he/she has in hand, 1 must be placed on the center of the table (public area) and 1 in front of him/her on the table (personal area), both face-up;
- Draw 1 bonus card from the table (and turn a replacement card face-up from the deck) and place it on his/her personal area, face-up.
Once in the personal area, the cards remain there to the end of the game. They cannot be changed.
Each player must draw from 2 to 3 bonus cards throughout the game.
The game ends when all players have in their personal area the following number of cads (game + bonus), corresponding to the number of rounds played:
| 2-3 players | 4 players | 5 players | 6 players |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 12 | 10 | 9 |
The player with the most points wins the game (see verso).
Scores
Each player joins the cards in the hand to the cards in the personal area and adds the points* (number of cows) of the various collections of 3 or more related game cards (same year, village, posters or stages) that he/she has been able to assemble.
Bonus cards double the value of the collection.
When a collection is not complete (when the player only has 1 or 2 cards of the same characteristic), the bonus card enables to score by the face value (not double).
Cards out of collection and without bonus do not score.
The same card can score cumulatively in various collections and/or bonuses. For example, the "Palco Histórico" card can add up to 3 collections or bonuses: "Aldeia/Village", "1982" and "Palcos/Stages".
Tie breaker (in order):
- Points of the remainder cards (out of collection and bonus);
- Number of cards of 1965/68;
- Highest number of collections.
* The points of the cards do not reflect the artistic value of the musicians/bands represented.
