Secret Combinations

Choose either:

  • to replace any character card in the auction with this one. The character card taken is placed in your hand.
  • to take 4 gemstones of your choice from the reserve.

Labor Reform

Choose either:

  • to take one character card from the small deck. You may play up to 4 cards in this development phase.
  • to take 4 gemstones of your choice from the reserve.

Trade Agreement

Choose either:

  • to rearrange any of the cards in this auction. You may move the cards to be next to a different color Auction Card, a different base or different arrow.
  • to take 4 gemstones of your choice from the reserve.

Peace Treaty

Choose either:

  • to remove your screen from the game. Your gemstones are visible. You bid last in the auction phase If you and another player bid on the same color and there are two cards to choose from, you must declare first which card you want.
  • to take 4 gemstones of your choice from the reserve.

The printed text has no full stop after "auction phase" before the next sentence. It is transcribed as printed.

Unification Policy

Put this card on top of any card in your pyramid. If the card underneath this card has any tokens, place those tokens on top of this card.

Viceroy Character Cards

The four remaining promo cards are character cards named "Viceroy", numbered 95–98. They show two portraits (95 and 96 share one, 97 and 98 share the other). They print no rules text of their own. Each shows four rows of gemstone costs down the left side, one row per pyramid level, and a grid of reward icons in the lower part of the card, in the same layout as the base game's character cards.

The base rulebook does not describe a character named Viceroy or any special ability for it. The cards are therefore played under the base game's character card rules (see the Character Card section and the Playing a Character Card section of the base rulebook), and no ability is added here.
