Fenrir
Fenrir is one of the monsters, but it works quite differently from the others. For simplicity, players may choose not to use Fenrir when playing with this expansion for the first time.
When Fenrir lies face up on the table, it can be captured in the same way as other monsters. However, a player may capture Fenrir even if they already have a monster in their battle party.
Capturing Fenrir
The cost of capturing Fenrir is discarding 1 warrior from the player's board.
After capturing Fenrir, the player places the Fenrir card in the middle of the table and turns the new monster face up. The discarded warrior is placed face down next to the Fenrir card. This is the start of what is called Fenrir's pile. The Fenrir card is then placed in front of the player who captured it.
Upkeep
At the end of each turn after Fenrir has been captured, if the active player owns the Fenrir card, they must discard 1 card from their hand onto Fenrir's pile.
Using Fenrir in Battle
Before taking part in a battle, the player who owns Fenrir may decide to send it to the opponent's team. They may choose this option when attacking or defending, but only if the opponent has at least two warriors on their board.
When a player decides to use Fenrir, they hand the miniature to their opponent, who must choose one of the warriors on their board and discard it onto Fenrir's pile. In addition, Fenrir confuses the battle party that it has just attacked, and this player cannot play Battle Tactics cards in this battle.
Translator's note: the source does not make unambiguously clear which player "this player" refers to (the one whose battle party Fenrir confuses, or the one who sent it). The wording is kept as printed.
After the battle, regardless of its outcome, Fenrir stays with the player to whom it was sent. That player now becomes its owner, must pay its upkeep, and may use it in battle.
Leaving the Game
After 10 cards have been collected on Fenrir's pile, Fenrir leaves the game. The miniature, the card, and all the cards in Fenrir's pile are set aside.
