Agent Cards Setup
Shuffle the Agent cards and place the deck face-down on the table in the area above the left-most Monster stack.
Deal four Agent cards face-up to the table in a line in the areas above the other four Monster stacks.
New Action: Engage An Agent
On your turn, you may use an action to Engage An Agent. To do this, select one of the face-up Agent cards and carry out the instructions shown on the card.
When completed, return the used Agent card to the bottom of the Agent deck and refill the empty position in the Agent line with the top card of the Agent deck.
As the game progresses, used Agents may rise to the top of the deck and return to the Agent line, becoming available again.
New Icon
Banish Card: A card of your choice is removed from the game. You may not remove Starter cards. You can read this as "banish 1 card".
The icon is a red X drawn inside a box.
Agent Clarifications
Assassin: A flipped Citizen does not activate when its number is rolled and it does not count when determining your ability to buy a Domain. At the end of the game, flip the Citizen face-up and score it as usual.
Green Witch: If the Monster's stack is currently Exhausted, remove the Exhausted card and place the Monster as directed.
King's Herald: The Citizen you Banish from your tableau is removed from the game.
Sapper: A flipped Domain loses its power for the remainder of the game. At the end of the game, flip the Domain face-up and score it as usual.
Squire: This card grants you an extra action that may only be used to Slay A Monster and requires the usual expenditure of resources to do so.
Gaps and Notes
- Agent card text not included. The Agent Clarifications refer to individual Agent cards (Assassin, Green Witch, King's Herald, Sapper, Squire). The printed instructions on those 14 cards are not in the source, so the actions they grant are not transcribed. Check the physical cards before relying on them.
- Base-game terms. Monster stack, Citizen, Domain, tableau, Exhausted stack, and Slay A Monster are base-game terms defined in the Valeria: Card Kingdoms rulebook. They are used here as printed.
- Icon rendering. The Banish icon is a red X in a box, written here as a description because it is not a resource. The card's own text ("Banish Card" and "banish 1 card") is transcribed as printed.
- Scan quality. The scans are 360x505 px per side. The text is legible, but the words are read from low-resolution images.
