Contents and Setup

The box contains 4 unicorns, 1 die, 1 game board with a spinner, 8 round cards, 8 square cards and 10 crystals.

  • Before the first game, carefully press the round tiles (cards) out of the game board and place them in the middle of the table.
  • Each child chooses a unicorn and places it on the cloud castle at the bottom left edge of the game board (= start).
  • The other unicorns go back into the box.
  • Place Rosalie on the purple starting cloud in the top right corner of the board.
  • Shuffle the round cards and the square cards (face down).
  • Lay the round cards out on the 8 yellow flower clouds on the game board.
  • Each player takes one of the square cards and places it face up in front of them.
  • If there are only two players, each player takes two square cards.
  • Place the remaining square cards face up on the table, near the crystal cloud in the top left corner.

How to Play

Play proceeds clockwise. The player who most recently dreamed about a unicorn starts; if you can't agree, the youngest player starts.

  • The player rolls the die and moves their unicorn forwards or backwards along the game board by the number of clouds shown on the die.
  • Several unicorns may occupy the same cloud.
  • A player may decide not to move (for example, if they want to land on a yellow or pink cloud).
  • If the die shows the glitter cloud, the unicorn moves to the nearest yellow or pink cloud.
  • If the die shows the picture of Rosalie, Rosalie moves.

What the Spaces on the Game Board Mean

Pink cloud - spin the wheel of luck and see what it shows you: 1, 2 or 3 cloud crystals. Place the corresponding number of crystals on the picture in the crystal cloud in the top left corner of the game board.

Clouds with a rainbow - use them as a shortcut forwards or backwards.

Yellow flower cloud - turn over the round card (if it is still there):

  • Does the picture on the round card match the picture on your square card? Take the round card and place it at the top of the game board. Then place your square card face down next to the other square cards in the top left corner of the board.
  • Does the picture on the round card match the picture on a square card lying in the top left corner? Take the round card and place it at the top of the game board. Then turn that square card face down next to the other square cards in the top left corner of the board.
  • Does the picture on the round card match the picture on your fellow player's square card? Put the round card back on the yellow cloud.

Then it is the next player's turn.

End of the Game

The game ends when all the players together have gathered all 8 friends (round cards) and all 10 crystals at the top of the board before Rosalie gets there. It is a cooperative game, so either everyone wins together or nobody does!

If you didn't make it in time, you have lost! Try again!
