Game Contents

  • 32 vermin tiles
  • 1 number die 1 - 6 (green)
  • 1 number die 0 - 3 (yellow)
  • 1 set of game instructions

Length of the game: approx. 10 minutes

Game Idea

They're creeping and crawling everywhere! But exactly how many creepy-crawlies are there? Remember where the cockroaches, beetles, and their friends are hiding and add the vermin together. Be careful because you must find the exact number and must not turn over too many vermin. The player who has collected the most vermin tiles at the end wins the game.

Preparation

Shuffle all the tiles and place them face down in the middle of the table. Keep both number dice ready.

How to Play

Play in a clockwise direction. The best fly catcher begins and rolls both dice.

Which numbers can you see? Add both numbers together and say the sum aloud.

You now turn over tiles one by one and add the depicted vermin (0 to 9). Add the numbers together out loud. The total of the depicted creepy-crawlies has to exactly match the total of the dice roll. It can be that only one tile is used.

  • Did you turn over the correct number? Fantastic! Take the tile(s)!

Example: Paul has rolled a 3 and a 5. Together that results in a sum of 8. He turns over tiles with 2, 4, 1, and 1 vermin. Together that also results in 8. He may take all four tiles.

  • Did you turn over too many creepy-crawlies? Too bad, you have unfortunately surpassed the number rolled. Turn the tile(s) face down again.

Example: Paul has rolled a 2 and a 0 (= 2). He first turns over a tile with 1 vermin. The second tiles shows 5 vermin. He has turned over too many vermin and has to turn both tiles face down again.

Attention midge mush: You're in luck when you turn over a tile with a zero! You may continue to turn over tiles. As soon as one or more tiles show the sum rolled, you must not turn over any more tiles (also no zeros).

Example: Lisa has rolled a 4 and a 3 (= 7). She turns over one after the other tiles with a 0, 1, 0, and 6. She may take all four tiles.

End of the Game

The game ends when there are only four (or fewer) tiles in the middle. The player with the most vermin tiles wins.

Beginners' Version (5 Years and Up)

The game is played according to the basic rules with the following changes:

  • You only play with the vermin tiles 0 to 6 and the green die. The game material that is not needed goes back in the box.

Plus-Minus Mix (7 Years and Up)

The game is played according to the basic rules with the following changes:

  • Continue to add the numbers of both dice.
  • You may only turn over a maximum of two tiles and can decide whether you want to add or subtract in order to get the correct result.
  • For each zero, another tile may be turned over.
