Do cards that copy production, such as Trial Run or Night Shift, include a production multiplier?

No. Multipliers apply only in the Production phase, so a card that gains the production of an upgraded structure on a multiplier site gives only its usual yield (for example 1 credit and 1 biomatter). Night Shift shows the full output of each upgraded structure, e.g. a farm's kelp and point plus a laboratory's science and steelplast, and needs connected buildings.
