Can you spend resources gained during an action on the rest of that same action?
Yes. Anything you gain while resolving a slot or card can be spent immediately, including on the other half of the action, in whatever order you resolve the parts. That also works between slot and card: resources from a slot can pay a card cost and a card can fund a build on the slot, provided you finish one set before starting the other.
