Trade I's secondary and the Merchants' Guild option can break them, since the Hacan protection only stops voluntary breaks in the Status Phase. Trade II and Trade III exempt the Hacan. Action and political card effects can still break Hacan agreements. Readers disagree on how Trade II/III interact with the older FAQ wording.
