How much money do players start with, and do they also collect the 10 deniers of income in round 1?

Each player starts with 5 deniers, and income and salaries are paid in Phase 1 of the very first round as well. So you receive the fixed 10 deniers, then pay your salaries for the citizens you placed in the Palace (2 each) and Bishopric (1 each).
