Troyes
How does Militiaman work, and what can I do with the converted dice?
The designer said Militia counters events and not black dice; the rest follows from the card text.

It turns 1 to 3 yellow dice into red dice of the same values for the action, and the group must be only yellow dice, so you can't mix a bought red die in. Because Militiaman has no ban, the converted dice can place a citizen in the Palace or fight events, but cubes can't be used against black dice.
