Does a newly learned Secret's extra AP or ability apply to the same placement?
The designer explained AP are evaluated at placement.

Extra AP does not, since AP is fixed when the Character is placed; abilities apply to actions after learning. AP spent earlier in the placement counts toward 'spend 4 AP' thresholds, but the Protégé must already hold those AP. A Double Duty card's AP applies only in the Workshop and can combine with enhancing there.
