Can you prepare a trick again while some of its markers are still on Performance cards?

Yes, as soon as the trick card itself has no markers on it. Markers on Performance cards do not block preparing. You can prepare again with whatever markers are left in your supply, but you cannot re-prepare a half-used trick card while any marker is still on it.
