Powers sit next to the shard-marked slots on the left of the player board; each slot holds one Power card, and the Power's slot marks limit where it fits. You may learn one new Power and optionally unlearn others, without paying a shard to remove one. A Power returns to your hand once the shards that open its slot are gone. Drawing a new Power requires discarding one first, which is optional.
