Objective

Be the most popular cat on the table. The cat with more cards facing up at the end of the game will be the one who wins.

Preparation

Each player chooses one of the faction decks. To start the game each player puts on his turn one random card facing down (on the front side facing the table). The card has to be put side by side with another card. Once the round is finished, each player picks 3 cards from his deck and the game starts.

Game Start and Turns

On his turn, each player can put one of the 3 cards on the table. The card has to be put facing up and side by side with another card. It can be rotated 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The player will execute what the card indicates. Once the card is put and the action executed, the player picks another card from the deck so he has 3 on his hand and the turn is finished. It's the next player turn.

Game Finish

Once all the cards are on the table the game is finished. Each player wins a point for each card of his chosen faction that remains facing up. The player with more points wins this game.

Game Modes

  • Single game combat: Best of 1 game wins.
  • Multiple games combat: Best of 3 or best of 5 games wins. You can use the tokens provided to keep count.
  • Skirmish: All players fight to win.
  • Teams: The game can be played per teams when a number of factions fight together against other teamed factions. The winner is the team that more points has in total (sum of all faction points of the team).

Card Actions

When you put one of the cards with the front side facing up on the table, you have to execute the actions that the card indicates. It can be a single action or more than one depending on the case.

The symbol on the top of the card that indicates that we have to turn another card. We'll turn the card, if there is any, that is next to the side where the symbol is positioned. If the card we are turning is facing up, we'll put it facing down, if the card is facing down we'll put it facing up.

In most cases the card will indicates that we have to execute more than one action. For example in this case we have to turn the card on the top and another card on the left.

  • A filled triangle indicates we have to turn the card that is in this direction.
  • A hollow triangle indicates we have to ignore the card that is in this direction.

Examples

Example 1

The example card shows a filled triangle pointing up and a filled triangle pointing left. Before the action, the two cards in those directions are both facing down, and the card being played is the one you are playing. After executing the action, both of those cards are facing up, which scores more points for the player.

Example 2

Some cards like this one indicate that we have to jump cards before turning them. In this case jumping one on the top direction and then turning two. And turning another one on the right as another action.

  • A filled triangle indicates we have to turn the card that is in this direction.
  • A hollow triangle indicates we have to ignore the card that is in this direction.

Example 3

Note: Remember that you can use the cards rotated 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees, so the effect of the card will be on the direction that the arrows are pointing.

The example card is played rotated 90 degrees clockwise. The caption on the card that has to be turned reads "This card has to be turned!", and after the action it has been turned.

The small number you see on a card is the maximum number of cards that you can turn when you use a card.
