    • 2 or 4 players: the face showing the player-count icons for 2 or 4 players.
    • 3 or 5 players: the face showing the player-count icons for 3 or 5 players.
  2. While you prepare the scavenger hunt, just after Silver has buried the treasure, the pirates close their eyes. Silver draws the "pirates mark" of his choice (for instance a signature) on the following places:

    • A/ on the "pirates mark" tile
    • B/ on the game board, in the exact place of the treasure
    • C/ on the game board, in 14 false locations of his choice, following the same rules as the ones used to bury the treasure.

All the hallmarks must fit the space depicted on the "pirates mark" tile.

New Calendar Event: "Pirates Mark"

  1. New Calendar event "pirates mark" (stands in instead of the 3rd starting hint event):

Silver enlightens the Calendar tile with the UV lamp: the pirates mark is thus revealed to all the pirates. After that, Silver gives the lamp to the player on his left. The other pirates close their eyes and, under Silver's supervision, the player who owns the lamp searches for the mark on one District of his choice. Afterwards, he closes his eyes, the player on his left opens the eyes, takes the lamp and inspects one district of his choice in his turn, and so on. Thus, all the pirates may check one District. Each pirate has to interpret by himself the alteration of the marks due to the actions at the beginning of the game.

It is not allowed to enlight the Districts nearby but the pirates may catch sight of some marks on the adjacent Districts.
