Components
- 6 Super Weapon Cards
- 15 Satellites
Setup
Shuffle and set the Super Weapon Cards in a pile, face down, next to the Planet Card pile. At the beginning of the game, after dealing the Planet Cards, place the top Super Weapon Card face up in the middle of the table. Next, each player places 3 satellites on their Galaxy Mat on the dice track's spaces outlined by circles.
Satellites
When a player upgrades their empire to reach a level with a satellite on it, the player immediately places the satellite on one of the uncolonized planets in the play area. This satellite will stay on the card until the planet is colonized. At that point, the player who colonizes the planet acquires it and places it on his/her Galaxy Mat.
At the end of the game, each satellite in your galaxy (not on the dice track) is worth 1 victory point. Points for satellites do not count towards triggering the end of the game.
Super Weapons
Players may do two actions with them:
-
Exploit Its Power. Use the noted ability of the Super Weapon. The player must add one of their acquired satellites to the surface of the Super Weapon. This is done at any time during a player's turn, and does not take an action.
Unlike a planet, players cannot use a Super Weapon ability by landing on the surface of it.
-
Destroy it. A Super Weapon may be destroyed for 2 victory points. Similar to a colonization track, the player uses a Move a Ship action to place a ship onto the Super Weapon's destruction track. Then, with a Diplomacy or Economy die action the ship can advance one along the track. When it reaches the end of the track, the Super Weapon is destroyed!
The player flips the card over to the destroyed side and slides it under the colony action section of their Galaxy Mat, then announces their new victory point total.
After destroying a Super Weapon, the player acquires 1 energy for each satellite on the weapon's surface. Those satellites are then removed from the game. Another Super Weapon Card is then drawn.
Editor's note on icons: the source sheet prints the actions as icons. "Move a Ship", "Diplomacy" and "Economy" are the die faces named in the base Tiny Epic Galaxies rules, and the destruction track follows the colonization track mechanic. The icons were identified from the base rules, not from printed text.
