Victory Conditions
The side that lost the least units between the French-Scottish side and the English-Burgundian side at the end of the 5th round wins the game.
If either of the 2 sides has all of their Characters destroyed or Disrupted at the end of a round, they immediately lose the game.
If the French-Scottish side manages to get at least 5 units inside Cravant at any point during the game, they instantly win the game.
Rewards
Each player gains:
- 1 [reward icon, not identified in the OCR] for each destroyed enemy Infantry or Cavalry unit
- [number and icon illegible in the OCR] for each destroyed enemy Character
Setup
Deploy each army one after the other, in the following order:
- Scottish army
- English army
- French army
- Burgundian army under Jean de Toulongeon
- Burgundian army under Claude de Chastellux (deploy inside the city of Cravant)
During the game, order of play follows the same order.
Armies and Units
The scenario's five armies are named in the setup and special rules as follows:
- John Stewart of Buchan's army (Scottish)
- Amaury de Sévérac's army (French)
- Thomas Montagu's army (English)
- Jean de Toulongeon's army (Burgundian)
- Claude de Chastellux's army (Burgundian, garrisons Cravant)
The unit roster table on the scenario's first page is not legible in the OCR text. The unit types, counts and army assignments for each army are illegible here and are not transcribed. The text fragments that could be read include unit and character names such as Impetuous Knights, Heavy Knights, Pikemen, Sergeants-at-Arms, Standard Bearer, Musician, Peasant Militia, Mounted Archers, Light Cavalry, Burgundian Archers and a Ribaudequin, but which army each belongs to and how many of each there are could not be determined. The roster must be taken from the printed page or a clean copy of the scenario.
Special Rules
5 Armies, 2 Sides
The French-Scottish and English-Burgundian sides are split into 5 armies in this scenario.
- John Stewart of Buchan's army and Amaury de Sévérac's army make up the French-Scottish side.
- Thomas Montagu's army, Jean de Toulongeon's army and Claude de Chastellux's army make up the English-Burgundian side.
The distribution of armies changes according to the number of players:
2 players:
- 1 player controls both of the armies from the French-Scottish side.
- 1 player controls all 3 of the armies from the English-Burgundian side.
3 players:
- 1 player controls Amaury de Sévérac's army.
- 1 player controls John Stewart of Buchan's army.
- 1 player controls all 3 of the armies from the English-Burgundian side.
4 players:
- 1 player controls Amaury de Sévérac's army.
- 1 player controls John Stewart of Buchan's army.
- 1 player controls Thomas Montagu's army.
- 1 player controls both Jean de Toulongeon's and Claude de Chastellux's army.
Alliances
Units can't be in the same area as units belonging to another army, even their allies.
Besieging Cravant
Units from the French-Scottish side cannot enter Cravant (all grey village areas) as long as at least one unit from Claude de Chastellux's army is located in a town area. The infirmary and building interiors do not count as village areas. Units from the French-Scottish side can attack units inside Cravant.
Scottish Men Never Surrender
All [icon illegible in the OCR] results suffered by the French-Scottish army count as [icon illegible in the OCR] results.
Notes on the Source
- The OCR also reads "Blacksmith", "Civilians", "Priest" and "Merchant girl" in the margin beside the 5 Armies rules. Their role in the scenario is not stated in the legible text, so they are not transcribed as rules.
- The scenario's own unit cards (the Ribaudequin, the four Characters and the light units) are not in the OCR text and are not transcribed.
- The credits block at the end of the scenario is attribution and is not transcribed.
