Objective

In Tomalo Vos the winner is the one who drinks the least. So you want NOT to drink. When you don't drink, the other player has to, and that is where the name of the game comes from: "Tomalo Vos" (roughly, "you drink it").

Setup

  1. Shuffle the cards and deal 6 to each player.
  2. Fill a shot (or a glass, that's fine too) with whatever drink you have on hand.
  3. Give the shot (or glass) to the last player who has drunk something.

The Game

If you have the shot (or glass; this is the last time we clarify it, so from now on wherever it says "shot" it can be a glass) in front of you, you may play a card and do what the card says. Most of the time this will end with you passing the shot to another player.

If at any point you have the shot in front of you and you CANNOT pass it (either because none of the cards in your hand allows it, or because you have no cards left in your hand), you must drink all of its contents.

Elimination

Anyone who drinks for the third time is eliminated!

New Round

When a player is eliminated, everyone returns their cards, the deck is shuffled, and 6 cards are dealt to each player still in the game. A new round then begins.

End of the Game

Keep playing until only one player remains who has not been eliminated, the drink runs out, or the players get tired of playing, whichever happens first.

Source Gaps

  • Page 4 of the four-page Spanish reglamento is not available in the source used for this transcription. Nothing from that page has been added.
  • Card effects beyond what the rules pages describe, and any variant rules, are therefore not included here.
