Setup
The Crystal's Song is a curse. It is played in addition to the base game's rules.
Clue card: The Crystal's Song (I1356)
They emit a faint, pink glow and a strange buzzing sound. "Your mission is simple: travel to the new continent and bring back as many of the crystals as you can carry. However, time is of the essence. We have lost radio communication with every agent that has attempted this mission within 48 hours of going ashore and haven't heard from a single one of them since..."
Begin the adventure by putting one of the following cards into play: 009 or 123 or 132. Each player places their figure onto it. When you put a Terrain card and its attached Exploration cards into play, you must choose one of these Exploration cards to be replaced by a [Exploration icon] card. If you are to take a [Exploration icon] card and there is none available in the Adventure Deck, your mission is over – take a 559 card.
Printed as: "Begin the adventure by putting one of the following cards into play: 009 or 123 or 132." The numbers are numboxes; each is a card to take by its number, as described in the base rulebook under "Exploring the continent".
Curse card: The Crystal's Song (I1357)
The Curse card carries only its title, "Curse – The Crystal's Song", and its artwork. It has no rule text of its own. Its back shows the game logo. A Curse card is handled as any Curse card under the base rules ("Life force – Action Deck and Discard Pile").
Exploration cards
The cards below are the curse's Exploration cards and the Adventure cards it sends the players to. Each card is listed by its card ID. The ID is printed in the top-right corner of the front (I13xx). Each Exploration card's back is the foggy side; its printed action is "Flip this.", which the base rulebook's pathfind example shows being resolved by turning the card over.
Conventions used below, as printed on the cards and as defined by the base rulebook:
- An action icon in a white square is named by its pictogram, because the card text does not name the action.
- A blue diamond with a number is the action's default cost (number of Action cards to draw); a gold star with a number is its difficulty (successes needed).
- The white box under an action is its success outcome; the black box is its failure outcome. A box with no failure text has no failure consequence.
- A green numbox with a number means: take the Adventure card bearing that number.
- A red padlock means the action is "locked" (base rules, "Action resolution", Cost step).
- A die icon with a minus means the involved characters lose that many durability pips.
I1358 – Crystal fragment (ants)
Action 1 (pick icon; default cost 3; difficulty 5):
- Success: You carefully pluck the crystal out and place it safely in your bag. [Quest item icon] Store this under the "Satchel & Journal" card.
- Failure: Your picking around the anthill sends the ants into a frenzy.
Action 2 (walking icon; default cost 0+; difficulty 0):
- Success: You go on your way. Banish this.
Foggy side (back): "Flip this." Action: pathfind icon, default cost 0+, difficulty 0.
I1359 – Nothing here, nothing there either...
No action icon is printed. Printed text:
- Each involved character that is tired takes a 106 card.
- If no involved character is tired, the active player may choose 1 card with the keyword "stealth" in the Action Deck or the Discard Pile and add it to their hand.
- Take another Exploration card matching the area shown on your Terrain card and put it into play – foggy side up – in the space where this was.
- Banish this.
Foggy side (back): "Flip this." Action: pathfind icon, default cost 0+, difficulty 0.
I1360 – Needle in a haystack
Action 1 (figure icon; default cost 0+; difficulty 3):
- Success: "For every problem, there is a solution!" The active player may choose 1 [blue arrow icon] card in the Action Deck or the Discard Pile and add it to their hand. Banish this.
- Failure: "It really is like looking for a needle in a haystack..." The active player takes a 101 card. Banish this.
Foggy side (back): "Flip this." Action: pathfind icon, default cost 0+, difficulty 0.
I1361 – This land is cursed!
Printed text:
- Each character getting involved in the following action may discard any number of cards with the keyword "will" or "carefully" from their hand and/or inventory. For each card discarded this way, you get a gold star during the Result step of the following action.

- Success: Your heartbeat slowly returns to normal. It is high time you continued along your way. Banish this.

I1363 – Crystal fragment (sound)
Printed text:
- During the Result step of the following action, for each skull icon card you reveal, the number of required successes increases by 2.
Action (ear icon; default cost 0+; difficulty 4):
- Success: You follow the noise up to a rocky crevice where you discover a small crystal fragment and place it in your bag. [Quest item icon] Store this under the "Satchel & Journal" card.

- 1 to 3 "Crystal fragment" cards: Captain Nedland's face darkens with bitter disappointment.

Notes
- Icons that the card text does not name (action pictograms, the red figure and red padlock markers, the blue arrow icon, the skull icon) are described by their appearance. The "locked" term follows the base rulebook.
- The Prodigy, Immortal and "Traitor Among Us" game modes are not covered by this file. Their rules are in the expansion box booklet, which was not available to the transcriber. Do not assume them from this file.
- Transcription source: the publisher's print-and-play card art (5 pages; front and back of each card shown side by side). Where a card's front and back differ, the back is described under "Foggy side (back)".
