- Determine who will be the first Clue Giver, and give her 3 Clue Chips and 6 Trait Chips.
- You're ready to play the game!
Round Start
-
The Clue Giver draws 6 Trait Cards and displays them face-up beside the Score Tracker Board, each next to the numbers 1 - 6.
-
To determine which Trait Card will be picked this round, the Clue Giver does these following steps:
- Shuffle the 6 Trait Chips (face down).
- Take & Peek at 1 Trait Chip randomly.
- Place it facedown next to Trait Card Number 1.
- Repeat the steps for Trait Cards 2 - 6 in order until as shown in the image.
- Now The Clue Giver should know where the Correct Chip (the one with the Tick Symbol) is placed.
The Trait Card next to the Correct Chip is the Chosen Trait Card for this round.
-
The Clue Giver must give out Clue Chips to the players that she deems fit the trait described in the chosen Trait Card. This may include herself.
- Most Likely chip: give to a player that is most likely to match the chosen trait.
- Least Likely chip: give to a player that is least likely to match the chosen trait.
- More Likely or Less Likely chip: give to a player that is either the second most or second least likely to match the chosen trait.
1 Clue Chips may only be given to 1 player, so there will be exactly 3 players chosen this way.
Players should only start discussing after all the Clue Chips have been distributed.
Guess Time!
Determining their choices as a group, players should discuss and must eliminate Trait Cards that was NOT chosen this round, leaving only the Chosen Trait Card.
Players flip over Trait Chips they wish to eliminate one by one and see the result:
- If there's an X: Congratulations! Players have successfully eliminated an incorrect Trait Card. Place the Trait Chip on the next available Rounds Score space. Players can continue eliminating other Trait Cards.
- If there's a Tick: Oops, too bad! Players made a wrong guess and eliminated the Chosen Trait Card for this round. The round ends immediately.
End of the Round
-
The round ends when you have successfully eliminated 5 Trait Chips OR when you make a wrong guess. Your score is the next free number on the Rounds Score space not covered by Trait Chips. Move the score marker up by that many points.
Scoring example: When you make a wrong guess at this state, you will gain 2 points. Advance The Score Marker 2 steps at The Score Tracker.
-
Prepare for the next round: The player on the left of the first player becomes the next Clue Giver and receives 3 Clue Chips and 6 Trait Chips.
End of the Game
After all players have been the Clue Giver once, the game ends. Flip the Score Tracker Board and see how close your connection is.
