Overview
Goal: Be the first player to win three rounds.
4-6 Player Setup: All players choose a Character Reference Tile. Each player places his or her Character Reference Tile in front of him or her on the table.
3 Player Setup: Same as 4-6 player setup, but remove 1 That's Not Lemonade card.
2 Player Setup: Same as 4-6 player setup, but remove 2 That's Not Lemonade cards.
Play: The game is played in several rounds. Players take turns being dealer, passing the role of dealer to their left after every round. The first dealer is the player who most recently vomited.
How to Play
Dealer shuffles the deck. Deal 1 card facedown to the middle of the table. This is the "Buried" card and goes to no player. Starting with the player to the left of the dealer and rotating clockwise, every player takes a turn. On a player's turn, a player either Passes or Hits (takes a card).
Passing
Turn your cup upside-down and tap it on the table. This indicates to the dealer that you are not receiving a card this turn.
Hitting (Taking a Card)
Tap your cup, right side up, on the table. This indicates to the dealer that you are taking a card. The dealer passes you a card face down. Peek at the card, making sure no other players see your card.
- You're Good: If the card is anything but a That's Not Lemonade card, then your turn is over and you are still in for this round.
- You're Out: If the card you receive is a That's Not Lemonade card, flip over only that card so that all other players may see. You are out for the round. Tip over your cup on its side to visually indicate you are out. Better luck next round.
End of a Round
The round ends the moment any 1 of the following 3 conditions occur:
- All That's Not Lemonade cards are revealed.
- All players Pass. This should be obvious as all cups will either be on their sides or upside down on the table.
- Only 1 player remains.
Once a round ends, players not eliminated from the round by drawing a That's Not Lemonade card tally up the number of Lemons in their personal deck. The player with the most Lemons wins the round. Remember, Double Lemonade cards count as 2 Lemons. If tied on Lemons, the player with the most Ice cards wins. If players are still tied, then the player closest to the dealer's left wins.
The winner of the round receives a Lemonade card, not a Double Lemonade card (unless there are no more single Lemonade cards) to show that they have won the round. Place this card face-up under your Character Reference Tile so all other players can see it.
The player to the left of the dealer becomes the new dealer for the next round and shuffles all cards not previously won.
Winning the Game
The moment a player wins three rounds, that player wins the game!
