  • 3 dice
  • 4 taxis
  • 4 drivers (red, blue, white, violet)
  • 4 driver tokens (red, blue, white, violet)

Setup

Setup shown for 4 players.

  1. Unfold the game board and place it in the center of the table.
  2. Place the For Hire box next to the game board and put 1 money token inside it. Gather the remaining money tokens on one side of the table to create a 'supply'.
  3. Each player takes one taxi, a driver, and a driver token in their color.
  4. All players place their drivers on their taxis and position them outside the board next to the START mark. This is the START point.
  5. The player who most recently rode a taxi becomes the starting player.

You are now ready to begin the game!

Objective

Roll the dice to drive your taxi and earn the most money.

Gameplay

The game proceeds in turns, moving clockwise from the starting player. Each player's turn consists of the following three steps:

  1. Roll the Dice
  2. Move
  3. Collect Money

Step 1: Roll the Dice

On your turn, you can roll up to 3 dice, one at a time.

After rolling the first die, decide if you want to roll a second die. If you choose not to, proceed to step 2.

If you roll a second die, check if the sum of the dice exceeds "4". If it does, immediately proceed to step 2 and handle the Speeding Violation. If not, decide if you want to roll a third die. If you choose not to, proceed to step 2.

After rolling the third die, check if the sum of the dice exceeds "4". If it does, immediately proceed to step 2 and handle the Speeding Violation. If not, proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Move

Move the taxi with the driver forward by a number of spaces equal to the product of the sum of the dice and the number of dice rolled.

[Example] Wanjin rolls a 3 on the first die and decides to roll a second die. The second die shows 1 so the total doesn't exceed 4, and he decides to stop rolling. Wanjin's taxi moves forward 8 spaces (4x2).

(Diagram: first die 3 + second die 1 = 4; the sum of the dice results 4 x the number of dice rolled 2 = 8.)

  • Pushing Opponents: Due to narrow roads, only one taxi can occupy each space on the board. If another taxi blocks the way, push the taxi in front forward by one space and continue moving. This applies to both empty taxis and those with drivers, and multiple taxis can be pushed simultaneously. If a taxi gets pushed into a sinkhole, it returns to the START point.
  • Speeding Violation: If the sum of the dice in step 1 exceeds "4", the driver must get out of the taxi. Handle the following steps:
    1. Separate the driver from the taxi and place the driver in front of the player. Leave the taxi where it is.
    2. Place one additional money token from the supply into the For Hire box.

When a player's turn comes, if they have received a speeding violation, they must check if an empty taxi is at the START point. If there is an empty taxi, the player can put the driver in the taxi and start their turn from 'Step 1'. If not, the player ends their turn and waits for the next round.

Step 3: Collect Money

If a driver arrives at or passes through an intersection space, the player collects all the money accumulated in the For Hire box. After taking the money, place a new money token from the supply into the For Hire box.

End of the Game

The game ends immediately when a player collects 10 or more money tokens, declaring that player the winner. In a 2-player game, the winner is the first to collect 8 or more money tokens.

Special Situations

  1. If all players receive speeding violations and no drivers are on the board, immediately place all empty taxis at the START point.
  2. If a taxi receives a speeding violation before reaching an intersection, move the empty taxi to the intersection space.
