Components
1 board/box, 36 wooden banana pieces, 3 banana leaf tiles.
Setup
Unfold the box flat on the table to become the board. The area of green banana leaves above the dotted line is the play area.
Give each player an equal number of bananas. In a 5-player game, there will be one banana left over - place that banana on the board before starting.
To make the game more challenging, you may place up to three banana leaf tiles on the board before starting.
How to Play
On your turn, you must place one banana. Be careful - once you let go, you can't pick up the banana again or adjust it later.
Either place a banana directly on the board
It must not touch any other bananas or any banana leaf tiles. Part of the banana can be outside the board, but it must not touch the table. No part of the banana can be outside the dotted line.
OR stack a banana on top of other bananas
Place a banana so it does not touch the board by stacking it on two bananas. You can stack them many layers high, but you cannot use a banana that is already supporting another banana. You also can't place a banana on just one other banana.
If you succeed in stacking your banana, you can take another turn, repeating each time you successfully stack another banana.
Caution!
- Your banana must not touch any other banana, except when you stack it on top of two others.
- Your banana must never touch a banana leaf tile.
- You must not cause a banana to fall off a stack or the board.
If you do any of the above, you must:
- Take back the banana you just placed.
- Take any bananas that fell, and any that moved to a position that breaks the rules.
- Accept a banana from the previous player.
Then you can try your turn again.
How to Win
The first player to have no bananas left is the winner!
