Allied Forces
The allied-forces rules below are printed in this booklet and are restated here because Natalya's rules depend on them.
With the release of the new Shōgunate faction, a new style of play was introduced: allied forces.
There are now four playable factions for the Tannhäuser board game. All characters belong to a faction. The Matriarchy is now allied with the Union and the Shōgunate is now allied with the Reich. This means that players may use Matriarchy characters with Union characters or Shōgunate characters with Reich characters when choosing their teams. If a faction is ever playing against its allied faction, players may never use multiples of a single given hero. If both players want to choose the same hero, each rolls a die, with the high roller choosing first and the low roller choosing from among those heroes remaining.
Nippon Accords
When the Shōgunate forces emerged into the theatres of war, the Reich acted quickly to establish a neutrality pact with Shōgun Hatamoto. This treaty is known as the Nippon Accords.
If a player chooses to play with an allied force of Reich and Shōgunate characters, they may choose any mix of Reich or Shōgunate Heroes and Troopers. A force that is allied in this way is known as a Nippon Accords force.
UMTOMA
The Union and Matriarchy have worked out their own alliance to counteract the Nippon Accords, known as the UMTOMA (Union and Matriarchy Treaty of Mutual Assistance).
If a player chooses to play with an allied force of Union and Matriarchy characters, they may choose any mix of Union or Matriarchy Heroes and Troopers. A force that is allied in this way is known as a UMTOMA force.
Rules for Using Natalya
Natalya is an Epic Hero. When Natalya is chosen, she replaces both a Hero and a Trooper. Remember that a player's team must consist of three Heroes and two Troopers (unless otherwise noted), and – barring a special exception – all of the characters on a team must share a faction or be part of an allied force. Rules for allied forces can be found on page 2. (Printed page reference; the Allied Forces rules are the section above.) Natalya is a member of the New Guard. If Oksana, who is both a member of the Matriarchy and the Union, is chosen as a Hero in a Union force Natalya may be chosen as a Hero for the Union as well. This may be done even if players have agreed not to play an allied forces style game.
Natalya has a new affiliation: the New Guard.
Affiliation Symbol for the New Guard (the printed symbol is a red raised fist over an upward arrow, shown in a red circle).
Additional Rules for Using Natalya
Natalya is always considered to be equipped with a Hand-to-Hand weapon.
If another character attempts to make a Bull Rush against Natalya, they must beat her by two successes in the Stamina test.
Natalya may be repaired. When this happens, dial up Natalya's health indicator by 1 row. Natalya may repair herself as an action, or another character with the repair ability may repair her as an action. Irishka may repair her with her R.U.R. A Voïvode equipped with Scretcha or an F.A.S. may repair Natalya.
Special Object: Volta's Lightning Cannon
Taking the failed Volta Cannon from the Kizhi archives, and an older Voïvode hiding in the corner of the archives, she emptied the Voïvode's ectoplasmic core into the cannon, giving both the little machine and the cannon a new life and purpose.
Weapon, Automatic, Heavy, Hardware · When attacking with this weapon, a single character adjacent to your target is also included in this attack. If there are multiple targets in adjacent circles, you may choose which one is included in the attack. One attack roll is made for both targets but each target makes their own shock roll.
Combat Pack
Upgrade tokens for Natalya's Combat Pack.
KBA Suit
Natalya pieced together the Kostjak Bronka Apparat from old blueprints drawn by the hand of Professor Rossum. Originally intended as a suit to install a Voïvode into, it was cast aside in favor of the less complicated smaller bodies for the robotic servants.
Hardware, Armor · You may re-roll up to two failed dice on your shock roll. You must keep the new result. When you re-roll, if you roll at least one natural 1, you suffer an additional automatic wound.
Power Spike
Often the Lightning Cannon surges with new energy drawn from an unknown source, perhaps from the Voïvode energizing it.
Hardware · When attacking with Volta's Lightning Cannon, add one additional die to your attack roll.
Magoura
Given new purpose, the Voïvode in the Lightning Cannon, which Natalya has nicknamed Magoura, directs the cannon to fire farther than it should before grounding through several targets.
Hardware · When attacking with Volta's Lightning Cannon, you may re-roll two failed dice on your attack roll.

Gold Tokens
These Gold tokens have been provided to replace the Gold tokens from Wolf's box. They can be used in the scenario "Gold Save the Queen". Included below are some variant rules if they are shuffled in with the normal crate tokens during any other scenario.
Bribery
The flash of gold can drive any sane man mad.
Ability · Drop this token when another character makes an attack roll against you. The token is placed in your circle. The attack is immediately cancelled and the character that attempted to attack you is moved one space toward the gold Bribery token.
Gold Rush
O, accursed hunger of gold, to what dost thou not compel human hearts! -Virgil
Ability · As an action, place this token on a circle adjacent to you. After your activation ends, if any character moves into a circle that shares a path with this token, they must immediately move three spaces toward this circle. This may force them to move more than their Movement points allow.
Fool's Gold
Take the gold, leave the gun.
Ability · As an action, place this token on a circle that is adjacent to you. If a character enters a circle that shares a path with this token, their total movement is reduced by 1.
Scenario: Attacking the Darkness
Briefing: I have taken a wrong turn. Perhaps leadership is not for me. I much prefer to allow the Lady Oksana to give the commands. Somehow the New Guard under my control have gotten lost. The black-clad members of the Reich have misled me. Why is it so, just when I received the sensitive information into my hands? We must find a way out from this horrid place. The Tsarina chose me for this mission. I shall not fail her, I shall not fail the motherland, I shall not fail the gods of our mothers. -Natalya
Setup: Use the Catacombs map.
This scenario pits a UMTOMA force against a Nippon Accords force.
Each player receives 3 Command Points per turn.
The UMTOMA force is composed of Natalya, two other Heroes, and two Troopers, all chosen from the Union or the Matriarchy.
The Nippon Accords force is composed of three Heroes and two Troopers from the Reich or the Shōgunate.
Natalya is placed in the center of the board. the rest of the UMTOMA force is placed within three circles of Natalya.
Each of the characters in the Nippon Accords force may enter from any entry point.
Special Rules: During the first turn, the Nippon Accords force activates their entire team and then the UMTOMA force activates their entire team. After this first turn, Initiative is rolled for as usual.
- When Troopers die, they may be brought in as reinforcements for only 2 Command Points. These Troopers may enter from any entry point. If they enter onto the board and are sharing a path with an enemy model, the enemy gets an immediate overwatch attack, regardless of whether they are on overwatch or not.
- When a character attacks Natalya, and causes a wound to her, they may spend 3 Command Points to force her to take an additional automatic wound. This automatic wound may not be shrugged off.
Victory Conditions: If Natalya survives for six turns, Natalya and her team wins. If Natalya is eliminated, the other team wins.
