- 1939: T-26S M39
- 1940: KV-1 M40; PzKpfw III Ausf. G
- 1941: Churchill Mk. IV A22; M3 Stuart Mk. II (Honey); PzKpfw IV Ausf. F/1
- 1943: PzKpfw VI Ausf. E (Tiger); Sd.Kfz. 234/2 (Puma)
Default Terrain
The vehicles in this expansion use a new default Terrain, "Open Ground." Open Ground, Open Desert and Field Terrain are interchangeable as default Terrain.
5.4 Small Guns
Vehicles and Anti-Tank Guns with 45mm or smaller guns always inflict Light Damage. These vehicles modify their Penetration Modifiers by 1 towards 0 when Firing. Additionally, penetrated enemy vehicles resolve the Light Damage result when targeted by Fire actions from vehicles with Light Damage. These vehicles have "Light Damage" printed in their Equipment box as a reminder.
Example: A Crusader Mk. II A15 is firing. They Pull a Battle Card for their Penetration Modifier which shows "-2". This is reduced by 1 towards 0, making the final Pen Mod -1. If the Battle Card had instead shown a Penetration Modifier of "+3", it would be reduced to +2.
5.6 Special Ammunition
These Special Ammunition rules supersede the Special Ammunition rules from Tank Duel: Enemy in the Crosshairs [EITC 5.5.1]. Rules for HE Rounds are only used if playing with revised AT Gun rules from Tank Duel: North Africa.
5.6.1 Tracking Special Ammunition
Track the available quantity of each type of Special Ammunition a vehicle possesses on the General Track with a corresponding Special Ammunition counter. When Special Ammunition is loaded or unloaded, adjust the Special Ammunition counter on this track to indicate the new quantity. The Special Ammunition Box on the Tank Boards from Tank Duel: Enemy in the Crosshairs is no longer used when tracking Special Ammunition this way.
5.6.2 Loading Special Ammunition
When performing the Load or Unload Special Ammunition action, any type of ammunition may be loaded, regardless of the type that is currently loaded (any Special Ammunition replaced this way is returned to the available Special Ammunition for that vehicle). In addition to taking the Load Special Ammunition Tank Action, a vehicle may load any type of available Special Ammunition at the beginning of a scenario and after a Fire action (remember to decrease the quantity of Special Ammunition remaining). This does not count as an action and has no cost associated with it, except for the expenditure of that Special Ammunition. Any time Special Ammunition is loaded, place a corresponding Special Ammunition counter in the Loaded Ammo box.
5.6.3 HE Rounds
All vehicles may fire an unlimited number of HE (High Explosive) and AP (Armor Piercing) rounds unless specified in their Equipment box. HE rounds are ineffective against armored vehicles, but can be used to attack Anti-Tank Gun positions. An HE round fired at a vehicle has no effect.
5.6.4 HEAT Rounds
Vehicles with "HEAT" printed in their Equipment box can be equipped with HEAT rounds. When performing a Fire action with HEAT rounds loaded, use the HEAT column on the Ordnance Chart. Fire Actions using HEAT rounds use the Penetration Value listed in the HEAT column of the Tank Board (this value does not modify the normal Penetration Value, it replaces it). Fire attempts with HEAT rounds are not modified by vehicles firing uphill or downhill (but are modified by the drawn Pen Mod as usual).
Scenario 1: Knightsbridge Box
Southwest of Tobruk, Libya, 13 June 1942: The Gazala battles had been raging for days. One of these was the Knightsbridge box held by the 201st Guards Motor Brigade Group. On 13th June, after a day of heavy fighting, the final clash of armor occurred when units of the 2nd and 4th Armored Brigades met the 21st Panzer Division on Rigel Ridge, during the last stages of one of the desert's violent sandstorms.

By the end of the battle, the 21st Panzer Division had overrun Rigel Ridge and the Knightsbridge was now surrounded. During the night, the 201st Guards Motor Brigade Group withdrew through a narrow corridor. The loss of the Knightsbridge box forced the British to abandon the Gazala Line, and Tobruk would fall to Rommel eight days later.
Scenario 2: Armistice
Porta San Paolo, Rome, 10 September 1943: The announcements of the armistice between the Italians and the allies on September 8th led to the first engagements between the Italians and the Germans in Rome. As the German 2nd Parachute Division advanced from the south, several Italian formations, including the elite 21st "Grenadiers of Sardinia" Division, set up defensive positions around Rome. The Italian generals were summoned and read a German ultimatum to cease all resistance or suffer the bombing of the city. The Italians accepted, ending the battle for Rome.
Scenario 3: Montgomery Advances
South of El Alamein, Egypt, 02 November 1942: When Montgomery learned that Rommel's elite troops were headed north, he decided to move south to avoid them. British armored forces advanced, heading for the Rahman Track, where Axis field artillery was concentrated. Rommel quickly ordered anti-tank defenses against the British armor, realizing it was only a delaying tactic until his armored divisions could be brought into the fray.

The British, however, continued to advance and eventually overran the gun and infantry positions. Though the 9th was now too weak to push on, the 1st Armored Division took up the assault. Soon the Germans launched a furious counterattack from the north and south. The armored battle raged on all day. When it was over, Rommel had 35 German tanks remaining.
Scenario 4: Tigers? In The Desert!?
South of Djedeida, Tunisia, 28 November 1942: On November 27th the Allied spearhead of the TORCH landings ran into heavy opposition near Tebourba. The 501st Schwere Tank Abteilung with some 13 Panzer III and 2 Panzer VI successfully halted the British Drive for the day. The morning of the 28th, Brigadier Cass brought up the 19 tanks from the 5th Northamptons to continue the assault and drive on towards Tunis. The rumors were that the new Tiger tank was mixed in with the units that had halted the offensive. General von Arnim was intent on halting the Allied drive while maintaining the Axis foothold in Africa. The Germans had only two Tiger tanks leftover from the previous days battle but were able to use them to utmost effectiveness.

Aftermath: A Churchill tank in a hull down defensive position made a particular contribution to Allied success. In one encounter, on 21 April 1943, during the start of the Battle of Longstop Hill, a Churchill tank of the 48th Royal Tank Regiment got the better of a German Tiger tank. A 6 pounder shot from the Churchill lodged between the Tiger's turret and turret ring, jamming the turret and injuring the German crew. They abandoned the Tiger, which was subsequently captured by the British. Known as Tiger 131, this Tiger was the first captured by the Western Allies and was particularly useful for intelligence. Tiger 131 has since been restored to full working condition and is now on display at The Tank Museum in Dorset, UK.
Scenario 6: Knight's Cross
No man's land outside of Teterevino, 8 July 1943, 0920hrs (L): Now into the 3rd day of the Kursk offensive, the 2nd SS Panzer Korps continues to advance. With most of the armor committed to attacking to the west, a battalion of the 2nd SS Infantry guards the flank at Teterevino North when they receive a sighting of 50-60 Soviet tanks crossing the Psel river, heading directly towards them. With the main force far to the west, a breakthrough would cut the supply lines of the entire 2nd SS Panzerkorp! By chance, there are two Tiger tanks in town that had suffered mine damage. In preparation for the Soviet assault, the lead Tiger moves onto an elevated roadway while the 2nd Tiger moves to guard its flank. A panzergrenadier runs to the lead Tiger, "our company has been overrun!" The Tigers advance, spotting five T-34s just as two of them explode into flames from the counterattacking panzergrenadiers. The lead Tiger quickly knocks out the other 3 and advances into no man's land between the town and the advancing Soviets just as a T-34 rounds an embankment.
