Rules for Playing the Game of Tangrams

The origin is believed to be Chinese and in its original form consisted of seven pieces cut in angles of 45 degrees.

This edition is published for use either as a solitaire puzzle (when the time taken to solve each card should be recorded) or as a party game — progressive or otherwise.

For progressive use the cards are shuffled and dealt out, one to each player, together with one set of 10 puzzle pieces.

At the word "GO" players start to arrange their pieces so that the solid red shape is exactly covered by the black shapes.

Immediately a player solves his card he calls "ONE," the next "TWO" and so on. These figures are recorded against the names of the players of which a list should be made.

When all the players have finished their cards they are passed to the player sitting at their left-hand, and continue thus for as many rounds as it is desired to play.

Finally, the player with the smallest total is the winner.

Prize

If desired a prize may be offered to the player who produces what is judged to be the best original design.
