Setup
Players begin the game with twelve pieces in their "safe zones". The pieces are marked with three different colours and four numbers. Each safe zone holds two rows of six pieces, and the two safe zones sit at opposite ends of the board, with the gray "war zone" between them.
Advance
Players take turns moving their pieces across the board one space at a time, either straight ahead or diagonally, into the gray "war zone", with the goal of reaching the other player's safe zone.
Stack
While moving across the board, players may stack any of their pieces of the same number or colour.
- Color stack: pieces of the same colour may be stacked together.
- Number stack: pieces of the same number may be stacked together.
Stacks can then move as one piece to get across the board faster.
Attack
When players meet in the war zone, they may attack their opponent's pieces by stacking on any that are the same colour or number and absorbing them into their own advancing stack.
- Attack a single piece: stack onto one opposing piece of the same colour or number.
- Attack a stack: stack onto an opposing stack of the same colour or number.
Advance the highest numeric value of chips into your opponent's safe zone and win tak•tak!
