Contents

  • 72 playing cards. Each of the 6 colors, numbers and symbols is contained 12 times in different combinations.
  • 8 double-sided, black task cards.

Note: The 8 white task cards are for the French version. You do not need them.

Object of the Game

In the majority scoring at the end of the 3 rounds, collect more points than your opponent by assigning your cards quickly and cleverly to the different task cards.

Variants for 3 and 4 players can be found on the back of this rulebook (see "Game for Four" and "Game for Three" below).

Setup

  1. Place the 8 task cards with the point values 2-9 in order between you (see illustration). For the first round use the side of the task cards on which the central number is shown black on white. In further rounds and games you can combine the sides of the task cards as you like.
  2. Shuffle the 72 playing cards and deal them evenly to the two of you. Take these 36 playing cards as a face-down pile in your hand.

Gameplay

You play over 3 rounds. Whoever has more points after the 3rd round wins.

Course of a Round

Before you start, make sure that all task cards on the table are understood.

Note: A detailed explanation of all task cards can be found on the back of this rulebook (see "The Task Cards" below).

On a shared signal "SU-BI-TO!" the round begins. You play simultaneously and try to assign all playing cards as quickly as possible correctly to the task cards on the table. You must observe the following rules:

  • You may only ever turn over the top card of your pile. Only when you have placed it on a task card may you turn over the next card from the pile and place it ...
  • Place the cards overlapping like roof tiles, so that you can see how many cards each player has already placed on the respective task cards.
  • Cards once placed may not be moved or removed.

As soon as one of you has placed the last card of the pile on a task card, that player calls "FERTIG!" (DONE!) and the round ends immediately! Cards not yet placed are set aside and the round scoring takes place.

Tip: Do not only pay attention to correct and fast placing, but definitely keep an eye on your opponent too!

Round Scoring

First check together whether all cards were placed "correctly". If a placed card does not correspond to the rules of the respective task card, not only the incorrectly placed card but also all cards placed on that task card after it are removed.

Then, beginning with the task card "2", distribute all task cards one after another. The task card always goes to whichever of you has placed more cards on it. If you have placed an equal number of cards, whoever has placed the higher sum (add up the number values on the cards) wins. In the case of a further tie, the task card is not awarded.

Then add up the sum of your won task cards: the task card "2" gives 2 points, the task card "3" gives 3 points, etc. Note your score and prepare the next round (see Setup). After the 3rd round the game ends.

Example: Mr. Schnell (Mr. Quick) was not fast enough and could not place all his cards. He still wins the task cards 2, 6 (thanks to the greater sum) and 9. He accordingly notes 17 points for this round.

Example: Ms. Flink (Ms. Nimble) was faster and could place all her cards. She wins the task cards 3 (thanks to the greater sum), 4, 5, 7 and 8. She accordingly notes 27 points for this round.

End of the Game

Add up the points from the 3 rounds. The player with more points wins. In the case of a tie, whoever scored more points in the 3rd round wins. In the case of a further tie you have both won - we suggest a rematch ...

Game for Four

If there are four of you, you form teams of 2 and each team sits on one side of the table. In the setup you each receive 18 instead of 36 playing cards per player. When placing cards, you must alternate, always placing one card each; you may only turn over the top card of your pile once your teammate has placed his current card on a task card. The round ends immediately when the last card of a team has been placed.

All other rules remain unchanged.

Game for Three

If there are three of you, each of you plays one round alone and two in a team (see Game for Four). However, you note points after each round for yourself alone: both players of the team each receive the full score. Whoever has collected the most points after 3 rounds wins. In the case of a tie, whoever achieved more points in his round as a single player wins. In the case of a further tie, the players involved share the victory.

All other rules remain unchanged.

The Task Cards

Task card "2": Both sides are identical. Every card may be placed without restrictions.

Task card "3" (side 1): No cards that are yellow or green may be placed.

Task card "3" (side 2): Only cards with a burger, palm tree or anchor symbol may be placed.

Task card "4" (side 1): Only cards with value 2, 4 or 6 may be placed.

Task card "4" (side 2): Only cards with a rocket or peace symbol may be placed. The two symbols must alternate from card to card. The player may freely choose which of the two symbols to begin with.

Task card "5" (side 1): In principle all cards may be placed. However, they must be placed face down, and the sum of all placed cards per side may not exceed 12.

Attention: Mistakes are treated differently on this task card. If a player exceeds the sum of 12, the task card automatically goes to the other player. If both players exceed the sum of 12, the task card is not awarded.

Task card "5" (side 2): Only cards with the values 5 and 6 may be placed.

Task card "6" (side 1): No more than two different colors (free choice) may be placed per side. The two colors must alternate from card to card. The first card may be chosen freely.

Task card "6" (side 2): Only cards with alternately even and odd values may be placed. The player may freely choose whether to begin with an even or an odd value.

Task card "7" (side 1): Every newly placed card must have the same value or the same symbol as the previously placed card. The first card may be chosen freely.

Task card "7" (side 2): No more than two different symbols (free choice) may be placed per side. The two symbols must alternate from card to card. The first card may be chosen freely.

Task card "8" (side 1): The color of the newly placed card must be adjacent to the color of the previously placed card (see the color bar on the task card). The first card may be chosen freely.

Example: The neighboring colors of yellow are pink and green. Attention: Dark blue and red do not count as adjacent.

Task card "8" (side 2): Every newly placed card must have a value exactly one higher or exactly one lower than the previously placed card. The first card may be chosen freely.

Task card "9" (side 1): Every newly placed card must differ from the previously placed card in all three properties (color, value, symbol). The first card may be chosen freely.

Task card "9" (side 2): The first card placed must be a 1 or a 6. After that, cards must be placed with values ascending or descending. On reaching 1 or 6 respectively, it changes again to ascending or descending respectively.

Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 5, ...
