When does a ship flee the battlefield?
The rulebook speaks of the ship's base going outside; forum replies agree.

A ship flees the battlefield when any part of its base is outside the play area at the end of its maneuver. Dipping out and back in mid-move does not count, and the maneuver template may overhang the edge without penalty. Unless a mission says otherwise a fled ship is destroyed.
