Is there a limit on how often a ship can acquire a target lock, and can it re-lock the same ship?
The rulebook says when locks are removed and several players agree, one quoting the FAQ.

No limit. Spending a lock removes its tokens, and the ship can take the Target Lock action again in any later activation, even on the same enemy. A ship can also acquire a lock on a ship it already has locked (an FAQ answer quoted on the forum says yes). It still acquires only one new lock per round. A few posts claimed a ship cannot re-lock a target it already has locked, but the rulebook only removes a lock when you lock another ship or spend it.
