If a Scum cloaked ship discards its cloak token instead of decloaking, is it permanently cloaked?
Several experienced players agree; no official ruling.

No. A ship is cloaked only while it has a cloak token, so discarding the token ends the cloak. That option exists for when you can't or won't decloak.
