Does Daredevil give a stress token, and is its move a red or a white maneuver?
Players agree on the stress and on the later FAQ change, but the FFG replies are only relayed second-hand.

Yes, Daredevil gives a stress token. As first printed, the move was a red maneuver, and a relayed FFG reply said the intent was a stress token for executing it. The FAQ released in July 2013, as one player reports, made it a white maneuver with the stress taken afterwards (so no more R2 Astromech trick). It counts as a maneuver for effects like Dauntless. Check the current card text for which version applies.
