No. Other ships never block shots: you can attack a target with another ship between you as long as part of its base is in your firing arc and range. Ships are not obstacles, so shooting past one gives the defender no extra die; only obstacles such as asteroids obstruct an attack and give the defender an extra defense die. Ships may also move through each other's space without penalty.
