When a patrol is defeated, when does the new one appear?
The rulebook says to spawn a new patrol when one is destroyed.

Immediately. Remove the defeated token and spawn the next patrol of that faction right away, placed faceup on the space next to its stack, so each faction always has one patrol on the map.
