If I buy a new ship, do I keep my crew, cargo and mods and what happens to damage?
The rulebook says to remove all damage and keep your cards when buying a ship.

You keep them, placing them in matching slots of the new ship. The new ship starts undamaged, and damage on the old ship does not reduce its trade-in value. Printed upgrades on the old ship are lost.
